Been to busy (and tired) to post about a topic......

so, at the request of Zena, here are few recent pics of the kids.  Enjoy!  I'll try and remember something interesting for my next post.

I am saving some more for later!  Never know when I will have to do this again.

Will the real twins please sit in the basket

More proof who should have been the twins.

Ally has never climbed into the basket.

But she is learning other things from her sister.

Vocabulary

First off, excuse the punctuation, I know I am supposed to be using quotes and such but does it really matter?

The girls had their 15 month check-up and one of the questions they asked was how many words are they saying.  When you have twins and a 3 year old, you don't really count and if you do, you can't remember.  I told them about 5-10 but since then, I have become acutely aware of their vocabulary.  Yesterday while getting dressed my shoes were on the floor, Ally picked up one and said Mama shoe.  Not bad.  Wyatt and I were looking for Maggie and Wyatt was singing a song to have her come, Maggie, Maggie, this is Wyatt calling.........Maggie then screamed Whaaaaaut (Wyatt).  Then when we were at Target, I turned down the baby food aisle and Maggie started going, mmmmmm! mmmmmmm!    So many things happen, it is hard to keep up.  I am going to have to write them down.  They are advancing so quickly, both are walking and practically running. I can barely keep up.

I ran across a listing of Wyatt's vocabulary from when he was first talking here it is:

Bodin -  This was his favorite word, if he didn't know the correct word for the item, it was bodin. The floor was bodin, his plate was bodin, a bush was bodin.  Everything was bodin.
Cemix - Cement Mixer truck.
Dver - DVD, he still uses this.
Vac Cleaner - Vacuum Cleaner
Daddin - Daddy, he used this term up until about 1 year ago.
I Can't see my eyes! - It is dark
Chicken Numnuts - Chicken Nuggets
Donals - McDonald's
Other - His name for Ally when she was first born.  He could say Maggie but he referred to Ally as other.  As in the other baby.
Humidfier - Fireplace
Cribby - His crib or now his bed
Pineapple - Pine cone
Washcar - Car Wash
Bam Maid - Bandaid
Coints - Coins
Teamers - His team when he played t-ball.  Sometimes he would say that he didn't want to be a teamer.
Toomario - Tomorrow
O Commin Up - His way of spelling things or saying the alphabet, you would ask him and he would say, o commin up, o b w y 4.
The Ark - Arkansas

That's about all I can remember.  He still comes up with some good ones.  I need to remember to write them down.  By the way, this post has taken me about 3 hours to write in between feet getting caught in play tractors, changing the TV, filling sippy cups, answering the phone, hands getting caught, potty breaks (myself and Wyatt), diapers changed, quiet kids (not good must investigate), looking at trucks lined up, etc. etc.  I LOVE IT!

This at the age of one...

For the girls 1st birthday, my sister Judy, gave them some really pretty, girly, sparkly shoes. One pair is pink and the other is gold.  Well, the pink is the favorite by far.  I actually witnessed Maggie trying to physically remove the shoes from Ally's feet.  I can tell you, Ally puts up one heck of a fight!!!!

So, the next day they switched shoes and this is what happened.    Do one year olds have a preference for shoe color this soon? Watch the videos and you decide.

Maybe there is hope?

that is, for playing a musical instrument.  Wyatt has always loved the guitar, keyboard and drums.  We encourage him any time he wants to play.  He even has a floating xylophone.  The girls, just picked up Wyatt's recorder and started playing.  In fact, they were able to produce a sound before Wyatt could do so on a consistent basis.  As for the parents, Jim plays a little bit of everything and does so good; I took about a year of piano.  I think every wish for a parent is that their child will be able to do something musically, sing or play an instrument.  Well, I believe we have hope (even though it is only a recorder; I can have my dream, right?)

PS  Wyatt is anti video picture taking now.

Is this MY child?

For the past year or so, we haven't left the house much.  Now I know why.  In an effort to enhance my kids social skills I joined a Mom's group much like the one I LOVED in FL.   Wyatt needs to learn to share and interact, I know that.   Ground rules were laid before we left, no pushing, no pulling, hitting etc., etc.  Be nice, obey Mommy, let girls go first.  The place was an indoor play tube area much cleaner bigger and quieter than a McD's.  We arrived, I had all the kids dressed, fed and in the car by 10am (I was even showered).  Huge accomplishment.  The only thing left behind was Wyatt's good attitude.  He pushed, he lost his socks, he refused to share, he whined, he screamed!  This was all before lunch.  So, we decide to go have a bite to eat with another mom with 2 kids the same age as my three.  Perfect, 3 year old boy for Wyatt and 1 year old girl for Maggie and Ally.  Girls were wonderful.   Nightmare began, he was one of those kids that I swore I would never have.  Wouldn't sit down and eat (huge pet peeve of mine, you must sit while you eat), rolling on couches, grabbing others food, bothering his sisters, spilling water everywhere, grabbing chips from the shelves.  That was the easy part, the child that begged to leave earlier decided he didn't want to leave and wasn't going to leave!  I just endured a 30 minute screaming, kicking, crying, threatening 3 year old, and that was all him. I may never make friends, is military school an option at this age?

Of course then he falls asleep cuddled with his teddy bear and says, "I love you, Mommy".  The trials of a strong minded 3 year old, and that is putting it mildly!

The games twins play

They thought of this all by themselves.  So cute!
